Day by Day
Day 1, Campo Grande / Bonito
Pick up at Campo Grande Airport and transfer to Bonito (290km, 03h30min drive). Check-in at your hotel in Bonito. Evening at leisure.
Day 2, Bonito (Buraco das Araras & Local artisans)
Meet with your expert guide on nature photography and departure at 6:00am to Buraco das Araras (Macaws’ Sinkhole), a natural crater with 124 meters deep and 500 meters diameter carved at the brazilian Cerrado where a large group of Red-and-Green Macaws nests and live. Travelers will be able to observe the great activity of those amazing birds and several other species. Lunch break followed by a visit to photograph artisans tracing bovine bones that serve as adornment for tools, utensils and decoration in general. Return to hotel and evening at leisure.
Day 3, Bonito (Blue Lagoon Cave & UDU Ceramic)
Morning dedicated to the photograph the Blue Lagoon Cave, a Natural Monument conservation unit of the Serra da Bodoquena cave complex and number one post card of Bonito. The setting preserves scenic speleological features and magnificent blue water lagoon at the bottom. Learn and pratice photographic techniques for caves. Afternoon visit Udu ceramic company where artisans welcome the group for a photographic session at their atelier. The goal is to photograph the work with ceramics. Return to hotel and evening at leisure.
Day 4, Bonito (Estância Mimosa)
Departure after breakfast for a full day including lunch at Estância Mimosa a beautiful spot on the margins of Rio Mimoso replete with pristine nature and several waterfalls. Morning walk for nature photography (birds, mammals, plants and waterfalls). Afternoon join local cowboys and photograph them on horses working with cattle. Return to hotel in Bonito. Evening at leisure.
Day 5, Bonito (Wildlife quest + Gruta São Miguel)
Departure after breakfast on a wildlife quest to find and photograph Giant anteater and Brown capuchin monkeys. Visit different areas to find in their natural habitats. Lunch break followed by afternoon visit to Gruta São Miguel, an amazing dry cave at Serra da Bodoquena complex where is possible to register a variety of interesting geological formations. Return to hotel in Bonito. Evening at leisure.
Day 6, Bonito / Campo Grande
Depart on land transfer to Campo Grande (3h30min drive). End of Bonito Photo Safari trip.
